Welding 101! — an Introduction to Welding
This hands-on course has been conveniently scheduled to run one evening each week for six weeks. During the training, you'll learn basic welding skills that will give you the confidence to tackle home- or farm-based welding projects and complete them to a good standard. This program will help you build valuable skills as you practise different welds in a controlled environment under the expert guidance of an experienced trainer.
This is a great starter course for anyone interested in gaining skills for employment in the rural or construction sectors.

Prerequisites for Training
All students are required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number which will be validated by the College. Qualification and/or Statements of Attainment cannot be issued without the USI number.

There are no formal pre-requisites or entry requirements for this qualification.
For personal safety, participants in this workshop will need to wear cotton clothing (long sleeves and pants), protective enclosed leather shoes, welding gloves and helmet.

- CSO202012 Workplace personal protective equipment; and
- CSO202304 Practical welding skills.

- students will attend practical face-to-face training sessions.
Prerequisites for Training
All students are required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number which will be validated by the College. Qualification and/or Statements of Attainment cannot be issued without the USI number.
Outlined are the pre-requisites for student enrolment:
- Age eligibility will be course specific (check course requirements);
- Students must have a good command of English and good comprehension;
- Students are required to provide a current email address for contact and communication.
The specific course entry requirements are:
- Appropriate language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills as required to meet industry documentation requirements;
- Digital technology skills as required to meet industry requirements.
