THE MOBILE CONNECTION HUB

Supporting reskilling, upskilling and employment across the Moree Plains

The all-in-one, Mobile Connection HUB connects your event, and anyone attending your event, to reliable, high-speed internet that’s protected and secure. If you need to host a connected community, on-farm or business event in a low-connectivity area, you need the HUB.

The Hub connects residents of the Moree Plains Shire to life-enhancing services, education, business and jobs by providing a secure mobile internet access point that’s convenient, easy, and free for users under the Australian Government-funded Local Jobs Program National Priority Fund.

The Local Jobs Program, funded through the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, supports the development and implementation of tailored approaches to accelerate reskilling, upskilling and employment across Australia, and seeks to provide tailored responses to support local labour markets.

How the Mobile Connection Hub can help

Living and working in a rural community shouldn’t prevent people from accessing educational, employment or business opportunities. The focus of the HUB is to enable access to the internet, linking people, skills and companies to available opportunities.

The HUB also offers personalised digital literacy support and training to develop the skills and confidence people need to manage technology, interact with online business, education and services, and gain access to jobs.

And the HUB promotes social connection through community gatherings that help build the resilience, wellbeing and mental health of regional people and communities.

On the ground with the HUB

Mobile Connection HUB services are delivered throughout the Moree Plains Shire by Community College Northern Inland.

You can be confident that the HUB is backed by rural people who understand the role education, technology and social connection play in the economic development of the region where they live and work.
