SKILLING YOUR WORKFORCE

Skilling your Workforce

Ensure your staff have the skills your business needs by accessing a wealth of learning opportunities in your own neighbourhood.

We support small business owners and their staff by providing accredited and non-accredited training that is subsidised by the NSW Government under the Adult and Community Education (ACE) Program. Funding of the ACE Program is granted to approved ACE Providers to deliver training and support that cannot be effectively addressed through Smart and Skilled programs.

The ACE Program aims to promote access and increase vocational education and training outcomes for those who experience significant barriers to training and employment. The ACE Program provides funding towards training up to and including Certificate III level and is designed to target disadvantaged students, and students in regional and remote communities in NSW.

The ACE Program also offers support to small business owners and their staff by providing fully subsidised accredited and non-accredited training in targeted courses in information technology, business services or foundation skills. This category is referred to as Targeted Skills for Small Business (TSB).

Targeted business training

Targeted Skills for Business

Is my business eligible for the Targeted Skills for Small Business Program?

The Targeted Skills for Small Business Program supports small business owners and their staff by providing fully subsidised training in targeted courses.

For students to be eligible under Targeted Skills for Small Business, the student must be:

  • an owner of a small business; or
  • an employee of a small business.

If you work in or own a small business:

  • with less than 20 employees; or
  • with an annual turnover of less than $2 million

you may be eligible to join any of these courses or to enrol your staff fee free. This program is subsidised by the NSW Government.

We can help you skill your workforce

Let us source trainers and courses tailored to your specific industry and needs. Contact your local Campus Coordinator who will be happy to assess your eligibility for subsidised training and schedule courses either on your site or at the College training rooms at a time to suit your business.
