Pathway to Construction

When you choose a career in construction there’s some basics you’ll need to get right so you can carry out your work in a safe and efficient way. This course is all about the basics.

This pathway course offers a change of pace from traditional study. Get a hands-on introduction to the skills that are used in the construction industry and learn about basic construction and tool handling using a variety of hand and power tools.

Welding 101

Welding 101 is an introduction to welding. In this hands-on course, well-known trainer Peter Koschmann will teach you the basics of welding processes, helping you develop the confidence to undertake basic welding projects. This non-accredited training will also cover the use of personal protective equipment and working safely.

This is a very practical course where students will practise different welds. For personal safety, participants in this training will need to wear cotton clothing (long sleeves and pants), protective enclosed leather shoes, welding gloves and helmet.
