Welding 101

Course description Collapse

This hands-on course has been conveniently scheduled to run one evening each week. During the training, you'll learn basic welding skills that will give you the confidence to tackle home- or farm-based welding projects and complete them to a good standard. This program will help you build valuable skills as you practise different welds in a controlled environment under the expert guidance of an experienced trainer.

Students will study the following non-accredited units:
  • CSO201811 Working safely;
  • CSO202012 Workplace personal protective equipment; and
  • CSO202304 Practical welding skills.

This is a great starter course for anyone interested in gaining skills for employment in the rural or construction sectors.

For personal safety, participants in this workshop will need to wear cotton clothing (long sleeves and pants), protective enclosed leather shoes, welding gloves and helmet.
