Felt Hat Workshop
This workshop begins with learning how to lay up fibres to produce a small wool felt sample that is then turned into a simple flower shape to decorate your hat or use as a brooch. Participants then further develop their skills of laying up the fibres, learn about using a resist when felting and go on to create a wet felted hat, cloche or small brimmed style hat.
In the workshop, you'll use Australian Merino fibres mainly sourced from a wool mill in Nundle, NSW. All the materials and equipment required to complete the workshop are provided.
This experience runs for approximately 6 hours and includes all materials and your take-home hats. We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early so the session can commence on time.
