Leadlighting

Course description Collapse

Over 2 full days, you'll learn the skills to enable you to measure a window frame, cut glass into various shapes, 'lead' your panel, solder, putty, and apply your finish, in order to complete a framed leadlight panel that can be used as a stunning piece of wall art. Once you learn these skills you'll be able to go ahead and make many more beautiful projects for your home.

Bring your sense of humour, wear old clothes and covered in footwear for protection!

Glass artist, Michele Hollister has been working with glass since 1992. After completing her Bachelor of Visual Arts and Secondary School Teaching degrees, Michele dabbled in glass before starting her business, Mihardwork in 1994. Over the years Michele has completed many commissions including the large leadlight window at Centennial Memorial Gardens in Brisbane and numerous church window restorations, and delivered regular high quality instruction in glass art skills including leadlighting, mosaics, kiln formed glass, and lampwork beadmaking to her local and regional community. She continues to complete commissions for private homes.
