Welcome to Inverell Campus
A gem of a campus
Located in the Northern Tablelands area of New South Wales, Inverell is a seven-hour drive north-west of Sydney and around five hours south-west of Brisbane. The Inverell Regional Council area stretches north to the Queensland border and is surrounded by Moree Plains, Gwydir, Glen Innes-Severn and Armidale Regional LGAs.
Affectionately known as the Sapphire City, Inverell is a premier tourist destination for fossickers on the lookout for gems and minerals including sapphires, diamonds, quartz, tourmaline, zircon, topaz and other gemstones. The Shire's population of more than 16,000 is serviced by a diverse range of retail, manufacturing, professional services, construction and agricultural sectors which are all major contributors to the local economy.
Ideally situated within Inverell's vibrant retail and business precinct, the Inverell campus offers modern information technology facilities, training rooms, study spaces, a multi-purpose area, and dedicated parking right in the centre of town. The campus is known as a friendly hub for the town’s students and the broader rural community of the Inverell Shire and a range of organisations regularly utilise its facilities to provide training and community-based services.
Inverell Community College runs a variety of courses each term including:
- select full qualifications;
- accredited skill sets and short courses;
- foundation skills for work and life;
- industry licensing courses;
- digital skills programs; and
- leisure and lifestyle workshops.
