MOREE CAMPUS
Moree Community Volunteer Expo Bringing Local Organisations Together During National Volunteer Week
People across Moree who are thinking about volunteering—or organisations looking to connect with new volunteers—are invited to attend the Moree Community Volunteer Expo at Community College Northern Inland’s Moree Campus on Thursday 21 May from 9am to 12pm.
Held during National Volunteer Week (18–24 May 2026), the Expo will bring local organisations together in one place, making it easy for community members to explore volunteering opportunities and learn how they can get involved locally.
Visitors are encouraged to drop in, enjoy a relaxed morning tea, and speak directly with organisations working across the Moree region in areas such as community support, emergency services, arts and culture, youth programs and social services.
No previous volunteering experience is needed—just an interest in supporting your local community.
Supporting stronger community connections in Moree
The Expo is part of the Moree Volunteering Connection Hub project, an initiative based at CCNI’s Moree Campus that aims to strengthen connections between volunteers and organisations across the Moree Plains.
Alongside the Expo event, the Hub supports organisations and community groups that involve volunteers—or would like to grow volunteer participation in their activities—by connecting them with resources, information and local opportunities for collaboration.
By bringing people and organisations together, the project helps build stronger community networks and makes it easier for volunteers to find meaningful ways to contribute locally.
Organisations invited to take part
Local organisations and community groups who involve volunteers are encouraged to participate in the Expo as exhibitors. Taking part is a great opportunity to:
- promote your organisation and the work you do
- connect with people interested in volunteering locally
- share information about volunteer roles and opportunities
- build links with other community organisations
- strengthen your presence in the Moree community
Participation as an exhibitor is free, however registration is essential.
Supporting volunteering across New South Wales
The Moree Volunteering Connection Hub project is supported by The Centre for Volunteering, the peak body for volunteering in New South Wales. The Centre for Volunteering works with communities, organisations and volunteer managers across the state to strengthen volunteering participation and support best practice in volunteer involvement.
Through this support, CCNI is working locally in Moree to help connect volunteers with organisations and strengthen community participation across the region. Community College Northern Inland supports training and community programs across the Northern Inland region.
