Working Under Powerlines - Refresher

This training delivers one unit of competency:

UETDREL006 - Work Safely in the Vicinity of Live Electrical Apparatus as a Non-Electrical Worker
In this course participants will refresh their knowledge regarding the responsibilities of individuals who are required to do work near powerlines or electrical apparatus in working safely as a non-electrical worker.

Completing the course will provide an individual with the skills and knowledge to stay safe and understand compliance requirements for safe approach distances for the worker, plant, tools and equipment and consists of real-life practical skills and knowledge to allow the participant to be able to identify and mitigate hazards in their working environment.

If you wish to do the stand-alone Refresher course, you must provide transcripts of your previous qualifications to prove they have not expired. If you are unable to provide evidence of your previous qualifications, or if they are older than 12 months, you will need to complete the New Entrant one-day training course.

Evidence of Identity (EOI)
On enrolment, students are required to show campus staff original Evidence of Identity (EOI) documents that add up to at least 100 points. On the day of training, students are required to show the RTO delegate (trainer) the same (original) Evidence of Identity (EOI) documents that add up to at least 100 points. Within these documents the applicant must be able to show:
  • a photo;
  • date of birth;
  • signature; and
  • current residential address.

Some documents you can use to provide your Evidence of Identity (EOI) include:
  • Australian birth certificate;
  • Australian drivers licence;
  • Medicare card;
  • ATM card;
  • utilities bill.

Course Delivery

Joblink Plus Limited, trading as Australian Training Plus (ATPlus) - RTO ID No. 91434, will be delivering, assessing and issuing Statements of Attainment to students assessed as competent in the units per course requirements.

This course will be delivered as:
