EA-RAIL Employment Allrounder - Inland Rail Basics
This specialised training program prepares workers for employment by teaching them how to:
- identify health and safety legislative requirements of construction work including correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used;
- communicate effectively with team members in the context of the work environment;
- take safety precautions to enter the rail corridor, including accessing the danger zone, and responding appropriately in an emergency; and
- provide advanced first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, in a range of situations, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
Units of Competency
Students must complete the following units:
Accredited units delivered and assessed by Community College Northern Inland RTO 90027:
- CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry;
- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
- HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support;
- HLTAID011 Provide first aid;
- TLIE1003 Participate in basic workplace communication.
Accredited units delivered and assessed by Accell Pty Ltd RTO 32213:
- TLIF0020 Safely access the rail corridor will be delivered as online training. Internet-connected computers will be available in class for students enrolling in this course.
Non-Accredited units delivered and assessed by Community College Northern Inland RTO 90027:
- CSO202026 Use digital devices - this unit provides wraparound support to students completing the online component of the course.
Course Delivery
This training will be delivered in the following ways:
- students will attend practical face-to-face training sessions;
- students will be required to work online during delivery of the TLIF0020 Safely access the rail corridor unit. Trainer support to access and use digital devices will be provided to students in class.
Prerequisites for Training
All students are required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number which will be validated by the College. Qualification and/or Statements of Attainment cannot be issued without the USI number.
Outlined are the pre-requisites for student enrolment:
- Age eligibility will be course specific (check course requirements);
- Students must have a good command of English and good comprehension;
- Students are required to provide a current email address for contact and communication.
The specific course entry requirements are:
- Appropriate language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills as required to meet industry documentation requirements;
- Digital technology skills as required to meet industry requirements.
There are no formal pre-requisites or entry requirements for this qualification.

Evidence of Identity (EOI)
On enrolment‚ students are required to show campus staff original Evidence of Identity (EOI) documents that add up to at least 100 points.
On the day of training, students are required to show the RTO delegate (trainer) the same (original) Evidence of Identity (EOI) documents that add up to at least 100 points.
Within these documents the applicant must be able to show a photo, date of birth, signature and current residential address.
Some documents you can use to provide your Evidence of Identity (EOI) can include:
- Australian birth certificate;
- Australian drivers licence;
- Medicare card;
- ATM card;
- utilities bill.
