Warialda Students Graduate in Certificate III in Individual Support Qualification
Community College Northern Inland (CCNI) celebrated the graduation of seven students from the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support at its Warialda Campus on Monday 2 February, marking an important milestone for both learners and the local care sector.
The graduating class was supported throughout their training by trainer Ean Muhs, whose guidance and industry experience helped students build the practical skills and confidence needed to step into roles across aged care and disability support.
Campus Coordinator Toby Cooper welcomed guests and acknowledged the dedication shown by students:
“It was amazing having a full Individual Support class back in Warialda, and watching each one of you achieving your dreams over the past twelve months has been a real pleasure.”
CCNI CEO, Mel Squires presented certificates to graduates Amanda Orchard, Sharna Aitken, Rasha Alidanna De La Rama, Crystal McPherson-White, Samantha Manttan, James Newell De La Rama and Marivic Bennett, recognising the commitment and achievement of each student who completed the nationally recognised qualification. School-Based Trainee (SBAT) Lyra Manttan, who is combining school studies at Warialda High School with work and training, was also recognised.
The event was also attended by Sharon Baker, Manager of Naroo Frail Aged Care Facility in Warialda, highlighting the strong and ongoing relationship between CCNI and local care providers. Over the years, CCNI has contributed to a steady pipeline of qualified care staff supporting Naroo and the wider Warialda community.
Special mention was made of the outstanding achievements of class member, Sharna Aitken who was nominated by CCNI in the Community Education Student of the Year category of Community Education Australia's 2025 Awards. Sharna received a Highly Commended Award at an awards evening held in Sydney late last year.
Following the presentation of certificates, attendees enjoyed a morning tea hosted by CCNI Operations Manager, Kasey Warwick, providing an opportunity for graduates, staff and guests to connect and celebrate the occasion together.
The graduation reflects CCNI’s continued commitment to delivering local training for local jobs, supporting regional communities through accessible education and strong partnerships with industry.
