Campus Coordinator - Gwydir & Barraba Campuses

CCNI is currently seeking a Campus Coordinator for our Gwydir and Barraba Campuses. If you have passion, drive and strong links to these communities and their industries, this position is for you!
Community College Northern Inland (CCNI) is a not-for-profit, approved VET provider, providing skills and training opportunities from seven campuses across the New England/North West region. We pride ourselves on being innovative and relevant to the training needs of our regional and remote communities and work with businesses large and small to create training opportunities to meet their staffing needs in areas including Community Service, Business, Engineering and Industry.
Position Purpose
The Campus Coordinator is responsible to the Executive Officer for the day-to-day running of the Gwydir (Warialda and Bingara) and Barraba Campuses and the outreaches of Community College Northern Inland Inc. They are required to research, plan and coordinate the delivery of a range of education and training courses for our local communities. This position will also be involved with the organisation, collation and delivery of The Gwydir News.
General responsibilities
- Be the local ‘face’ of the college campuses.
- Research and report adult community needs and organise courses in response to the identified needs of people and businesses in the communities in order to plan and collate an education and vocational training program.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral agencies and local businesses to be their RTO of choice for their clients and staff.
- Organise courses and activities including:
- - assisting with recruitment of tutors;
- - selecting times, dates and venues; and
- - arranging course resourcing in line with ASQA and funding body requirements.
- Provide front line customer service, administration of student enrolments and classes using our third-party student management system.
- Provide day-to-day management of campus facilities, training resource requirements, and external venue requirements.
- Provide day-to-day support to trainers, facilitators and visiting staff.
- Provide student support and referrals.
- Meet ASQA and NSW DET standards and guidelines including providing reports.
- Assist in gathering, collating and producing The Gwydir News publication.
- Monitor and prepare content for campus Facebook pages. Collate images, testimonials, course content and student outcomes for campus flyers and other media. Advertise events and courses as required.
- Attend events and meetings relevant to CCNI and its aims in assisting our local communities.
Hours of work
- The position is part-time.
- The position will be 35 hours per week.
- Evening and weekend work can be expected and some flexibility around hours is required. The position will be divided across all three campuses, with a work vehicle provided for travel between work locations.
Essential criteria
- Local community involvement, knowledge of the district community or the ability to develop local networks and sustain partnerships.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft 365 or similar cloud system including Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Demonstrated skills in business development and promotion.
- Excellent skills in email and file management.
- Experience using third-party software and apps such as student management systems, office software and social media platforms.
- Accurate data entry skills.
- Excellent planning skills with attention to detail and customer focus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Driver licence and willingness to travel.
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
- Experience developing and leading a team of workers.
- Experience in a confidential environment and able to use good judgement (common sense).
- A demonstrated mature and professional work ethic.
- To be appointed to this role you must provide a current Working With Children Check and National Police Clearance Certificate.
Desirable criteria
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
- Business or administration qualifications.
- Understanding and experience of the vocational education and training sector.
- Experience coordinating and/or delivering funded programs.
